Politics vs Non-Politics

We all are aware about the historical conflict between Gandhiji and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and stepping down of Netaji as Indian National Congress's working committee President. At that time their motto was same - independence of India; but they could not agree with each other's philosophy. Gandhiji wanted to be as much as polite with British whereas Netaji wanted to treat the British as rudely as possible.

At present, Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal - both want a corruption free India; but they choose to walk separately. Anna Hazare wants a non-political movement to achieve a political solution as "the path of politics is full of dirt"; whereas Arvind Kejriwal wants a political alternative to fight against the dirty politics (tit for tat).

We all know that, the current political situation is badly dirty. It is difficult to understand how it is possible to clean the dirt without being into it? If we remember movies like Yuva, then we also remember the beginning of clean Politics.

Anna Hazare may sight examples of his previous achievements, but the current issue is not the same. If he or anybody succeeds to achieve corruption free India, then we will have all new political faces everywhere. All the current big sharks (be in power or be in opposition) will be behind the bars. And it is not only against the politicians - it is against all the public servants. Achieving this is simply not an easy job - only demonstrations and hunger strikes may not be strong enough against devil.

Just look at the present situation. Few sessions of disturbance in the parliament and then all are silent. In front of public, the oppositions are asking an answer from the Government, but that is pseudo. Once upon a time, the opposition was also the then Government - they also cooked many scams (irrespective of the scale of the scam).

What if all the public stand together against corruption? Then the movement will be a successful one for sure. True. But to unite all the people you need to spread awareness all over the country. For that you need media and media is in the pocket of _____. Anna Hazare got a huge public support during his first hunger strike, during the second - the public appearance faded considerably. Why? Media highlighted more the ifs and buts (internal issues between the India Against Corruption leaders, etc.) than the cause - very intelligently confused people.

One has to fight politically and legally to bring down the corrupted public servants. For that, one must have power to take political and legal actions - which is not possible until and unless you are in politics. Your non-political movements are easy to bypass. Political alternative is the right way to fight against the dirty politics. May be, that will not success at the first attempt, but step by step it will be possible one day.

We all should support the political alternative (to be) initiated by Arvind Kejriwal (does not mean against Anna Hazare’s movement). Not necessary to join politics – it is enough if we just cast our vote for them. May be, they will not win more than 10 seats in the Parliament in the first go. But that’s not so bad as a clean beginning. From 10 it will be 100 next time.

Jai Hind. Jai Bharat.
